Alexandra started this song on the bus on the way home from school one day in eighth grade. We've all had encounters with that group of girls who everyone else refers to as the “popular” group, and we know that there are a lot of kids who have to deal with them every day. At one time, Alex was actually friends with a particular group of these “popular” girls and had a chance to get an insiders look on the situation. It usually turns out that one girl is the ring leader and the rest of them follow her every move. Alex ended up switching schools because of the misery this group caused her. A few years later, on the way to school no less, she came up with an interesting analogy for this group: Little Bo-Peep and her flock of sheep. We've all been told that you should write from experience, so with a little help from mom, she managed to unravel the story of this Little Bo-Peep. It's really amazing the number of people who relate to this song, who went through, or are going through, the same thing.

There once was this girl, who thought she was pretty cool.
‘Could say she was the leader of the school.
And then there were the others, maybe five or so,
Who'd follow her around, where ever she'd go.
CHORUS:
Just like Little Bo-Peep
With her flock of sheep.
But they'd never wander astray
Because if they turned away
They'd be lost
It would be the cost
They all realized
How they were seen in her eyes.
They tried to pretend that they all thought the same
Every one of them bought into her game.
They were all perfect, as pretty as could be.
They wouldn't look twice at the likes of you and me.
CHORUS
Then things started to change and hard times came down
She needed someone, she looked all around
But they were all gone, they'd faded and scattered.
To them her obstacles really didn't matter.
Last Chorus:
There goes Little Bo-Peep
She's lost her sheep
They've all gone away
They were never here to stay.
Now she's lost
But that's the cost
She didn't realize
How they'd seen her in their eyes
Oh______ Ooo________
