Celebrate your New Year's Eve with CBC and stay warm at CBC Centre Stage! Come join the fun, the Vissia Sisters will be performing at 9:45 to 10:40 PM. Giving back to the community has always had a place in the Vissia Sisters' schedule. Recently, the girls helped out with Katrina's Kids, an event that included three football games by the Stony Plain Blue Bombers, by playing at half-time.
This past weekend, the sisters also performed for the 2nd Annual Rotary Run for Life in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association and Suicide Prevention. This year it was held at the Stony Plain Exhibition Grounds and proved to be an even greater success than last year. Congratulations to all the runners!
In November, the Vissia Sisters will be performing at a Santa's Anonymous benefit concert. They were invited by local rock band Freeburn to participate in an event to promote gifts for less-fortunate teenagers, a group of children that is often overlooked at Christmas time. The concert is on November 19, 2005.
The Festival of Trees at the Transalta Tri-Leisure Center in Spruce Grove, AB is another event that the girls will be supporting. The funds will be going to Palliative Care. The Festival runs from November 24-27, 2005.

The Vissia Sisters are pleased to announce that they were selected, from an overwhelming number of applicants, to perform at this year's Gospel Showcase. The Gospel Showcase is in conjunction with Canadian Country Music Week, which takes place in Calgary, Alberta this year. The Gospel Showcase is open to the public, watch their schedule for more details or log on to www.ccma.org. Canadian Country Music Week culminates with the televised CCMA Award Show hosted by Paul Brandt.

Awards include New Country Group of the Year (Youth Mixed Age), Most Promising Female Entertainer of the Year for Traditional Country (Age 7-12) (Andrea Vissia), New Country Female Vocalist of the Year (Age 13-16) (Aleisha Vissia), and Bluegrass Female Entertainer of the Year (Alexandra Vissia).

The Vissia Sisters have been invited to appear on CBC National Television for their New Year's special! They will perform one of their new songs from their upcoming CD at 5:00 pm. CBC will air this segment THREE times nationally and TWICE locally throughout the evening on December 31st. They will also be performing on the CBC City Center Stage for the Edmonton First Night Festival. The CBC Stage is located in Edmonton City Centre Mall at 123 - Edmonton City Centre. It is located in the far South East corner of the mall on the main level. The Vissia Sisters perform at 10:15 pm to 10:50 pm. Come and join them for a big night of celebration; everyone is welcome!!!
